I am making a formal complaint regarding my treatment at 3Dental Limerick and am giving you a right of reply before I include this matter in my ongoing public documentation of systemic failures in healthcare and redress in Ireland.
Summary of Issues
Date/period: 2019–2021
Staff involved:
• Dr Paul O’Connell — attempted to pressure and coerce me into paying additional sums beyond what had been agreed. I experienced this behaviour as bullying.
• Dr Joaquin Rinon — carried out the procedures and, during them, repeatedly lowered the dental chair to a flat position despite my clear reports of severe pain. I experienced this as degrading, punitive, and unnecessary. His assistant Magda Cronin witnessed this conduct and attempted to gaslight me when I raised my distress.
• In 2021, Dr Rinon issued a written demand for further money (€110), which I experienced as financial coercion.
